Architectures of Sound
The Concept
A note that evolves into a song is an amalgam of contained emotion. This piece materializes the transition of a melody into a physical system that engages with time and its surroundings.
Through monochromy, assemblage, and an eloquent use of void, the work invites the viewer into a synesthetic experience: to visualize music and see themselves reflected within it.

Context and Research
The work emerges from a ten-year investigation into the visual representation of sound. Within this research, the piece establishes a contemporary dialogue with the notion of the void in the work of Yves Klein and the phenomenology of space explored by Anish Kapoor.
Beginning with a “painted song” by the Italo-Peruvian artist JAT and the volumetric study developed with Chilean artist Gabriela Cubillo, the final piece was executed and assembled by the artist in his studio (Punta Hermosa, Lima).
Technical Sheet
